Damian Priest Unveils Symbolic New Tattoo Following Major WWE Victory

by Holly

Damian Priest, known in the WWE as The Archer of Infamy, has long been recognized for his striking physical presence, accentuated by a collection of tattoos covering his arms, chest, back, and legs. A clear enthusiast of body art, Priest recently added a meaningful new tattoo to his right hand—an apparent tribute to a major career milestone. After a fierce and conclusive victory over Drew McIntyre in a Steel Cage Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Priest commemorated the occasion by getting fresh ink that encapsulates both his heritage and his persona.

The new tattoo features the word “WEPA” etched across the lower end of his fingers, visible just below the knuckles. “WEPA” is a popular Latin American slang term that expresses excitement and joy, fitting for someone who channels both intensity and celebration in the ring. The tattoo was done by Roberto Charneco, an artist at Body Language Custom Ink in Orlando. Charneco shared a post on social media with a photo showing off the completed work alongside the former World Heavyweight Champion. Damian Priest also shared the moment on his Instagram story, offering a first-person glimpse of the tattoo session. Notably, this is the first time he has had the back of his hand tattooed, adding another unique layer to his already extensive body art.

As much as the tattoo symbolizes victory, it also marks a turning point in Priest’s journey. During last week’s episode of SmackDown, Priest addressed the crowd with a reflection on his rivalry with McIntyre. While he acknowledged the brutal nature of their encounters—particularly his past chair assault that sidelined McIntyre—Priest made it clear that the animosity was no longer personal. He expressed newfound respect for McIntyre, calling him a true warrior after their latest confrontation, even though personal affection was still lacking.

With his feud behind him, Priest signaled a renewed sense of purpose: a quest for championship gold. He stated that titles had always been the primary goal since his arrival on SmackDown, and now his attention is firmly on the United States Championship. Currently held by Jacob Fatu, the title represents the next peak for Priest to conquer. As the segment wrapped up, a brief but charged moment occurred when Priest and Fatu crossed paths, teasing the crowd with a potential showdown between two dominant forces. The face-off hinted at a high-stakes rivalry to come, with Priest’s new tattoo possibly serving as a lucky charm or emblem of his reborn determination.
