Shivam Khajuria Shares the Deep Personal Meaning Behind His Tattoos

by Holly

Television actor Shivam Khajuria, known for his role as Prem in Anupamaa, produced by Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi under Shahi Productions Pvt. Ltd., recently opened up about the emotional significance of the tattoos he carries on his body. With three tattoos inked so far, each design, he revealed, holds a personal story and a deep emotional connection that he cherishes.

Shivam spoke candidly about the reasons behind his tattoos, emphasizing that each one is more than just body art—it’s a reflection of his beliefs, values, and connections. He explained that his first tattoo, one dedicated to his parents, symbolizes an eternal bond and serves as a constant reminder of his roots. Located on his chest, this tattoo is close to his heart both physically and emotionally. His second tattoo reads, “God is greater than the highs and lows,” a message that reflects his spiritual outlook and serves as a source of strength through both joyful and difficult moments. His third tattoo, an image of Bajrangbali, represents more than devotion—it embodies strength, faith, and fearlessness. For Shivam, this figure is a spiritual shield, always offering guidance and protection.

Reflecting on his tattoo journey, Shivam shared that the idea for his first tattoo came to him rather spontaneously, but the meaning behind it was deeply thought-out. Wanting something that would stay relevant to him throughout his life, he chose to honor his parents with permanent ink, believing it to be a meaningful way to always carry their presence. The second tattoo came from a belief he holds closely—that a higher power oversees life’s journey, no matter the circumstances. And the most recent tattoo, dedicated to Bajrangbali, reinforces his sense of divine support. He imagines the deity’s hand on his shoulder, keeping him grounded through life’s many phases.

As for the physical experience of getting inked, Shivam mentioned that the process didn’t cause him much pain. He described the sensation as a series of small pricks, entirely manageable and even embraced as part of the overall experience. His high pain tolerance made it easier, but it was the emotional depth of each tattoo that truly defined the experience for him.

Although he currently has no specific plans for a new tattoo, Shivam hinted that he remains open to the possibility. For him, tattoos aren’t a matter of trend or impulse—they must hold real meaning. When something speaks to him profoundly enough, he begins to imagine it etched on his body. That internal spark is what guides him to his next piece, he said, bringing the conversation to a heartfelt close.
