The 5th Annual Youngstown Tattoo Classic is set to take place June 6–8 at the Metroplex Expo Center, and this year’s edition comes with a meaningful twist — a military tribute theme. Dubbed Operation Give Back by event owner and promoter Hope Sweany, the celebration will honor service members while supporting local veteran-focused organizations.
Running from noon to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, the event will host over 80 tattoo artists and 20 vendors. A portion of the proceeds will benefit veteran organizations including Moab House, the Veterans’ Outreach Center, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and Youngstown Blue Coats.
Military members will receive 50% off admission with valid ID as a gesture of appreciation.
Attendees can expect daily tattoo competitions, including a new patriotic category judged by military recruiters. Saturday will feature a lively pin-up contest, while food trucks and psychic gallery readings by Kathleen Moore will add to the weekend’s festivities.
Tickets will be sold at the door on a cash-only basis.
