Former WWE Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon recently shared an interesting story about a tattoo she once considered getting but ultimately decided against. The revelation came during her appearance on her What’s Your Story? podcast, where she reflected on her early passion for wrestling and a decision that could have left her with a very permanent reminder of WWE’s past.
McMahon, who has been deeply involved in professional wrestling since childhood due to her father Vince McMahon’s leadership of WWE, nearly got a tattoo of the classic World Wrestling Federation (WWF) logo before the company rebranded. At the time, she was fully immersed in the world of wrestling and wanted to commemorate it with ink. However, she admitted she changed her mind at the last minute—a decision she is now grateful for.
Recalling the moment on her podcast, she said, “When I was younger, I wanted a tattoo and I was going to get the WWF logo. Thank God I didn’t do that. I’d be like a walking billboard if I had all the different logos that have evolved over time. I’m tatted on the inside.” Her comments highlighted how the WWE brand has undergone various changes over the years, and a tattoo of an old logo might not have aged well.
After her father Vince McMahon’s retirement in 2023, Stephanie McMahon stepped up to become Co-CEO of WWE, sharing the role with Nick Khan. However, Vince McMahon returned to the company in January 2024, prompting Stephanie’s resignation from her executive position.
Although she no longer holds an official role within the organization, Stephanie McMahon continues to maintain a connection to WWE. She has made sporadic appearances, including sitting ringside at events and making special appearances at major shows such as WrestleMania.
Her story offers fans a rare personal glimpse into her life behind the scenes, showing that even high-profile wrestling executives can come close to making impulsive decisions—and be thankful when they don’t.
