As the Minnesota Timberwolves prepare to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday, one fan is showing extraordinary confidence in the team’s prospects. Instead of waiting to see how the series unfolds, this dedicated supporter has already inked a championship tattoo.
Tattoo artists JC Stroebel and Jesse George from Beloved Studios, a Roseville-based shop, have noticed a surge in Timberwolves-themed tattoos this season. Having done hundreds of such tattoos for fans, they previously gained attention last year by offering $20 tattoos featuring Wolves big man Naz Reid’s name. This year, the variety has expanded to include names like Julius Randle and a particularly bold tattoo—a detailed Larry O’Brien trophy with the year 2025 inscribed beneath it.
The fan behind this confident piece is Nate Samuelson, a Minnesota native and passionate Wolves supporter. Despite receiving some negative comments about his tattoo, Nate remains optimistic. He confidently declared that the team will eventually “be hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy,” showing unwavering faith in the Timberwolves’ championship hopes.
The team itself seems to share that determination. After a tough loss on the road, the Timberwolves returned home with renewed energy. Anthony Edwards led the charge with 30 points, Julius Randle contributed 24, and five other players scored in double digits as Minnesota dominated Oklahoma City 143-101. Now, the Wolves aim to maintain this momentum in Monday’s Game 4 at the Target Center, hoping to even the series at 2-2. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN.
