Fünky Matas, a self-proclaimed tattoo enthusiast, has garnered worldwide attention for turning his back into a canvas of signatures—190 of them, to be exact—and believes he now holds a world record for it.

Though the Guinness World Records organization has yet to officially verify the achievement, Matas remains confident that no one else has inked such a high number of autographs onto their skin.

“Still feels unreal,” Matas wrote in an Instagram post in April, using the handle @funky. “Holding the world record for most signatures tattooed on my back isn’t just about ink.”

The 190 autographs etched into his back are not random scribbles—many come from celebrities he has personally met. The star-studded list includes names like Will Smith, John Cena, Tony Hawk, and Leonardo DiCaprio, highlighting Matas’ impressive network and his commitment to extreme body art.

Earlier in April, Matas attended a tattoo convention where he met Toxii Daniëlle, a body modification enthusiast known for surgically removing her nose and splitting her tongue. Despite her own radical appearance, she appeared visibly shocked by Matas’ tattooed body.

“Even people with tattoos think my world record is crazy!” Matas commented, possibly referring to a record confirmed not by Guinness, but by the lesser-known Elite World Records.

For Matas, though, the ink represents more than just a collection. “It’s about the moments I’ve lived and the people I’ve shared them with,” he wrote. “Beyond grateful to have experienced this journey alongside [celebrity] legends.”
