Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who turns 38 today, April 28, 2025, is marking her special day with some introspective reflections on her past, especially regarding her tattoos. The talented actress, known for her roles in films like Theri and Super Deluxe, was married to actor Naga Chaitanya for nearly four years before their separation in late 2021. While the actress has maintained a dignified silence on the specifics of their split, her recent comments reveal a hint of regret about certain aspects of her relationship with Naga.
Among the things Samantha seems to regret are the tattoos she got during her marriage to Naga. In a 2024 “Ask Me Anything” session on Instagram, fans flooded her with questions, one of which asked if she had any plans to get more tattoos. To everyone’s surprise, Samantha not only denied the possibility of getting inked again but also admitted regret over her decision to get tattoos dedicated to her ex-husband.
Samantha candidly shared, “You know the one thing I’d tell my younger self is never ever get a tattoo. Never. Never ever. Ever, get a tattoo.” While the actress didn’t explicitly mention the tattoos related to Naga, it was clear from her words that she was reflecting on those specific inkings.
At the time of the Instagram interaction, Samantha had three tattoos, all of which were connected to her relationship with Naga. One of them reads “YMC,” which stands for Yeh Maaya Chesave, a film where she shared the screen with Naga and likely grew close to him. Another tattoo features “Chay,” the shortened version of Naga Chaitanya’s name, inked on the right side of her ribs. Lastly, a matching tattoo with Naga, of two upward arrows on her right wrist, symbolized their bond during their relationship.
Unfortunately, their love story ended in late 2021. Following the split, Naga Chaitanya found love with actress Sobhita Dhulipala and married her in December 2024. Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has kept her focus on her career, continuing to shine in the film industry with her ongoing projects.
